This is typical Canucks. Just for some reason every 4 years or so they just become world beaters. But the rest of the time they stay at bottom of the division. Enjoy your time in the lime nucks fans. It won't last forever |

umm lol. do yourself a favour and look back at Canucks records the last 5 years or so to this point.
we'll fall off eventually. we need another high pick anyway. but it's fun to watch this team as compared to previous years. BB, EP have this team excited to watch games. regardless of outcome. QH coming soon too.

Didn't even know the Ducks still had a team. They have been irrelevant for 12 years now. |

The Canucks have been the worst statistical team in the NHL for the last 5 years. They have young pieces now as a result that are coming around and the Sedins are gone. Most teams when there good for a decade will bottom out for about 5 years. Did you think the futility would last forever? Hockey goes through cycles. Some organizations are mismanaged and may not figure it out for 10 to 15 years and will mismanagement assets, if your a fan of one of those teams I feel sorry for you and would understand your bitterness. Statistically the Canucks are one of the loosingest teams in NHL history, they share the rarified air of Buffalo and St Louis as team to have existed for 50 years to never have won a Stanley Cup. Canucks fans have never experienced ultimate glory only the bitterness of defeat even when they have had decent performing clubs. |

Looks like they may have found the replacement scoring for the Sedins. Perhaps a bit more. But still they struggle defensively. I remember 20 odd years ago when Igor Larionov was with the Sharks. He thought rather than play D to just outscore the other team. Kinda like the Oilers did in the 80s. It's actually not a bad strategy. I'd rather win or lose 7-6 than 2-1. I think the Canucks may have embraced this knowing they are not going to out-defend a team. Yet, I think their possession stats are still in the bottom third. Shooting percentages are going to even out. Enjoy it while it lasts. Maybe they start believing in themselves. Maybe a star player wants to play with them. Why not? One of the best cities to play in. Team is on the upswing. |
